Subscribing

There are two ways to subscribe to the CCVillage mailing list: by email, or through the Groups.io website. 

Subscribing by Email (simpler)

Subscriptions to CCVillage can be managed through email messages to the proper addresses so using the website is not required.  To subscribe, send a message from the email account you wish to subscribe to ccvillage+subscribe@groups.io  .  Future posts will need to be sent from that account to be accepted.

Subscribing on the Groups.io Website (more features)

Subscribing and reading messages on the Groups.io website allows you to edit and post formatted messages, read and search older messages, and lets you access the photo galleries and files that some users may upload.  It's also easier to change subscription options through the website.  Creating a Groups.io account (if you don't already have one) is recommended for using the website:

1. Visit the CCVillage website at Groups.io: https://groups.io/g/CCVillage.  

2. If you already have a Groups.io account from another mailing list, log in using the green button (or the Log In link at the top of the window.)

3. Click on the blue "+ Join This Group" button.

4. If you are logged in to a Group.io account, you will be added to the group - you are done!  (But you may want to set your email delivery options.)

5. If you don't have a Groups.io account, you will be asked to enter the email address you want to use for the CCVillage mailing list.

6. Groups.io will send an email to the address you entered to verify it.  Click on the "confirm account" link.

7. In the window that opens, enter a password for your new Groups.io account. 

8. Click on the CCVillage link or the "Your Groups" menu in the top blue bar to visit the CCVillage mailing list website.

Unsubscribing

The easiest way to unsubscribe (leave) the CCVillage mailing list by clicking on the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of every CCVillage message.  You can also unsubscribe by sending an email message or using the Groups.io website:

Unsubscribing by Email

1. Send an email from the account you wish to unsubscribe to ccvillage+unsubscribe@groups.io.

1. Visit the CCVillage website Subscription page at: https://groups.io/g/CCVillage/editsub.  

2. Click on the red "Unsubscribe" button at the bottom of the page.

3. Click the red Unsubscribe button on the pop-up window to confirm.

Changing Subscription Options

Messages posted to CCVillage may be received as individual emails, a daily digest, or no emails at all (read online).  If you would like to change your option and you set up a Groups.io account, it can be done on the CCVillage website:

1. Visit the CCVillage website Subscription page at Groups.io: https://groups.io/g/CCVillage/editsub

2. Log in using your Groups.io account email and password if needed.

3. Under "Email Delivery", click the round button to select the type of messages you would like to receive.

4. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom.

If you have an email-only subscription to CCVillage without a Groups.io account, you can email the CCVillage moderator at ccvillage+owner@groups.io and ask to change your subscription option.
